This is a little embarassing but, my goal is to becoming not just a better martial artist but a better person in general. Part of that is fessing up when I'm a complete tool.
So, remember in my last blog post when I said I beat Joanna at sparring and I didn't know how? Well, that's because she actually won first place.
She sent me a tactful note through Facebook and gave me the play-by-play (which I may share if I ever get over emarassment of this). She was nice enough to send it via direct message instead of posting to my wall. (See, told you she was cool.)
Apparently, I snagged her trophy at the awards table and scurried off with it without noticing. (Note to self: READ THE RESULTS PAGE, NEXT TIME.)
I'm sure at some point (way, WAY in the distant future), I'll be able to see the humor in this. For right now, however, I'm lying low.
